What membership includes

More than
class time

Class time is only part of it. Everything below is what keeps a student connected to training between sessions — and what keeps you in the loop as a parent.

Every member

INCLUDED WITH EVERY MEMBERSHIP

Whatever program you are in, these come with it.

Private WhatsApp group

One private group for the club, with the coaches in it.

What it does for you

Schedule changes, cancellations and quick questions get answered the same day instead of next class. It is also where camps, gradings and events are announced first.

Access to training workshops

Extra sessions through the year: seminars, weapons, self defense and specialty workshops.

What it does for you

You get to train the material that does not fit into the weekly class rotation, with visiting coaches, without paying for a separate course each time.

A club training app

Every member gets their own space in the academy app.

What it does for you

Training gets logged and progress becomes visible: rank, streaks, badges and where you sit on the academy leaderboard. Students see the work adding up, and parents see what is happening in class.

Free training content

Drills, tutorials and workouts members can run at home.

What it does for you

The weeks you cannot make class stop being lost weeks. Practice between sessions is what moves a student fastest, and it is already planned out for you.

Social events

Nights out, movie nights, BBQs and holiday parties through the year.

What it does for you

The friendships are the reason members stay for years. It turns a class you attend into a club you belong to.

Masters Club & Competition Team only

MONTHLY REPORT CARDS

Report cards come with the Masters Club and Competition Team memberships. Once a month, every athlete in those programs gets a personal card written by the coaches who train them.

It covers what they actually did: attendance, what they worked on, where they are progressing, and what a coach wants them to focus on next. Three parts every month: a personal note from the head coach, the coach’s notes, and the character award.

Most parents find out how their kid is doing at martial arts by asking the kid in the car, and getting “good.” This replaces that.

A personal note

Hey Marcus,

Your roundhouse is landing faster than it was a month ago, and you are holding your stance when you get tired instead of standing up out of it. That is exactly the change I wanted to see.

Where I want your attention next: hands stay up between combinations. You are dropping them when you step in, and that is the one thing a faster opponent will punish in March.

For students

THE JKA MEMBER APP

Every member gets access to the academy app when they join. Students log training, track their own progress and see where they sit alongside the rest of the academy.

Personal dashboard

Each student gets their own space showing where they are up to — current rank, what they are working towards, and what they did last week.

Program spaces

Separate areas for each program, so a Competition Team athlete sees competition material and a Masters Club student sees performance material.

XP and streaks

Training is logged and rewarded. Streaks do what streaks do — they make the Tuesday you did not feel like coming a bit harder to skip.

Badges

Milestones that are not belt gradings. Recognition for the things a belt test does not measure.

Leaderboard

Friendly competition across the academy. Some kids ignore it entirely; for others it is the whole reason they log training.

Access comes with membership. Current members get set up during onboarding — there is nothing to download or sign up for from this page.
